Oats – All About Oats

Where to buy good oats

Our favorite source for oats is Azure Standard. The oats are always fresh.
We’ve also been happy with these oats and these gf oats from Amazon, but oats from Azure Standard are much less expensive.

Are oats a healthy food?

Oats are an extremely healthful grain and have been shown to help with weight loss, lowering blood sugar, and reducing risk of heart disease.

Different varieties of oats

Oats can be purchased in many different forms, including whole oat groats, steel cut oats, rolled oats (aka old-fashioned oats), and quick oats.

How do you use oats

Oats can be used to make granola, as a hot cereal, and in baked goods. They can even be used to make a non-dairy milk.

Recipes that use oats

How to store oats

Oats should be stored in a cool, dry place. If storing for more than a month, they should be kept in the refrigerator or freezer.
