Where to buy good figs

Fresh figs – Fresh figs are difficult to find because they are highly perishable. Some grocery stores in warm climates carry them in the warmer months.

Dried figs – We really like these dried Turkish figs from Amazon. Also, you can sometimes find dried figs at your local supermarket.

Are figs a healthy food?

Figs are a very healthy food. They are a good source of calcium, copper, B vitamins, fiber, and other valuable nutrients.

Different varieties of dried figs

There are many different varieties of figs and they all taste different. Most people prefer the sweet, milk taste of Turkish figs (and most do not like the strong taste of mission figs).
